As a member of the 501st Legion of Stormtroopers, I have spent the past 7 years bringing joy to kids of all ages by living my dream - to be a stormtrooper. In 1977, at the age of 5, I saw Star Wars for the first time. Like many, I fell in love with the whole saga. I've continued that passion ever since. The 501st is the premier Star Wars costuming club, focused on costumes related to the Empire (as opposed to Rebels), and I have particularly focused on 3 costumes, with additional hopefully coming soon.
The military soldiers unswervingly loyal to the Emperor, stormtroopers represented the most visible extension of Imperial might. 'Trooping' is a term that means "participating in a 501st event." The 501st is involved in many different types of events, from local birthday parties to national concert tours. Each member is expected to participate in no less than 1 event a year.
